The Harpies

Harpies ("snatchers") lived in a cave on Crete. They wer creatures with the heads and chest of women, and the wings and talons of vultures. The harpies had a deadly stench, and they ravaged the land were ever they went because it was their fate to constantly starve. The were known for bringing temptests.
