The Fomorians

The Fomorians were a powerful group of creatures that ruled Ireland for amny years. It was thought that perhaps they had once been sea rovers from the ocean off Africa. Wherever they came from, they were a strange group of creatures. Some had the body of a man and the head of a horse. Some looked like fish walking upright on two flipper-like feet with human faces peering out of fish heads. There were many others in all forms you could imagine, but some were beautifully human looking. They lived on an isalnd in the north-west of Ireland in a translucent tower, and they made a living by forcing taxes on the land. They preffered solitude on the whole, but they were also very war-like.
